33 Years of Pro Drain Cleaning

We’ve been clearing drains in South Jersey since 1993. Same family. Same phone number.
Same guy who started it still answering the call.

In 33 years we’ve cleared just about every clogged, backed-up, root-choked, grease-packed
drain the shore can throw at us — from old Atlantic City row homes with cast-iron stacks the
salt’s been eating for decades, to mainland sewer lines full of tree roots, to rentals that get
hammered every summer season. We’ve seen it all, and more important, we know what’s
behind your wall before we open it up.

A drain isn’t just a clog to us. It’s somebody’s morning, somebody’s bathroom, somebody’s
basement they don’t want flooded. So we get it flowing, we tell you straight what caused it, and
we set you up so it stops happening. If it needs more than a cleaning, we show you what we’re
looking at and lay out your options — repair or replace, your call. Straight answers, honest
price.

Local family-owned and operated since 1993.

What We Clear

From the main line down to the last fixture — if it drains, we clear it.

  • Main Sewer Lines — Your main line from the house out to the street/city sewer. When the whole house backs up, this is usually why.
  • Whole-House Backups — Every drain slow or backing up at once means the trouble’s in the main. We find it and clear it fast.
  • Garbage Disposals — Jammed, humming, backed up, or dead? We clear the clog, get it running, and tell you straight whether it needs a repair or a replacement — no pressure either way.
  • Toilets — Clogged, slow, or backing up — and we check it’s not a sign of something biggerdown the line.
  • Sinks — Kitchen, bathroom, vanity. Cleared right the first time.
  • Tubs & Showers — Standing water and slow drains, gone.
  • Washing Machine Drains — Backing up or overflowing on the spin cycle? We clear the line so laundry day quits flooding the floor.
  • Slop Sinks & Floor Drains — Basement, utility, and laundry-room drains that back up or smell. Cleared and flowing.
  • Roof & Storm Drains — Roof drains, storm lines, yard and area drains, downspout and driveway runoff — so water goes where it should instead of pooling where it shouldn’t. Residential and light commercial.
  • Cable & Snake Drain Cleaning — The classic fix for a routine clog. We run a cable machine to cut through the blockage and get your drain flowing again — the right tool for a lot of everyday backups.
  • Sewer Video Inspection & Location Service — We send a camera down the line and put eyes on the exact problem — then locate it, so we know right where it is and how deep underground. You see it too, right on the screen. No guessing, no digging blind.
  • Root Removal — Roots are the #1 reason South Jersey lines clog. We clear them out and show you how to keep them out.
  • Drain Maintenance Plans — Rental, duplex, or a restaurant that clogs every season? We’ll keep it clear on a schedule so it quits costing you.

Spotlight — Hydro Jetting

When you want a drain truly cleared — not just opened — jetting is the answer. A cable
machine punches a hole through the clog so water can pass, but the grease, sludge, and
buildup are still coating the pipe wall — which is why the clog comes right back. Jetting is
different. We run high-pressure water through the line at thousands of PSI, and it scours the
entire inside of the pipe back to bare wall: grease, sludge, scale, roots, all of it flushed out and
gone. The line comes back to full flow like new. It’s the most thorough drain cleaning there is,
it’s the right call for any drain that keeps backing up, and we do it for both residential and light
commercial. If your drain won’t stay clear, this is the fix that makes it stop.

Spotlight — Hydro Jetting & Cast-Iron Descaling: Next-Level
Clearing

This is where 33 years and the right equipment go to work. Old cast-iron drains don’t just clog
— they scale shut from the inside. Years of rust and hardened buildup choke the pipe down to a
fraction of its opening, and clearing a path through it only gets you so far.
We run chain knockers — a specialty descaling machine that knocks the hardened rust and
scale off the wall and brings it back to smooth, bare metal. Then we hydro jet it to flush it all out.
That’s the difference between clearing a cast-iron line and restoring it. With the right machines
and the experience to run them, we bring old cast iron back to life — flowing the way it was built
to.

Spotlight — The Old Curb Trap: Where It Backs Up

A lot of older South Jersey homes still have an old trap out at the curb, in the street, or in the
yard — a U-shaped fitting between your house and the main, from back when plumbing was
done different. Down here they’re always outside, never in the basement. After all these years,
that curb trap (some folks call it a house trap) is the #1 spot a main line clogs. It catches
everything coming down the line — grease, roots, debris — and that’s where the backup starts.
When we get a main-line backup, the trap is the first place we look. We clear it, and when one’s
broken down or causing repeat backups and it makes sense to pull it, we remove it so your line
quits clogging at the same spot every time. Most folks don’t even know it’s out there. We do.

Why South Jersey Drains Are Different

Down here, what’s in the ground is half the story. Along the coast, saltwater and a high water
table work their way into any crack or bad joint in your sewer — and once water’s getting in,
sand and debris come with it. Sandy soil is always shifting and settling, which pulls old lines out
of pitch — what we call a back-pitched or bellied sewer, where the pipe sags and water sits
instead of draining. That’s when sludge builds, clogs keep coming back, and the pipe cracks. A
lot of these lines are decades old and were never built for what’s underground today. Thirty-
three years working these exact conditions means we’re not guessing — we know how the pipe
failed and how to fix it for good.

Know What’s Under Your Floor — We Do

Half the battle with an old South Jersey home is knowing what kind of pipe you’re even dealing
with. We’ve cleared every one of them:

  • Cast iron

rusts and scales over inside, leaving a rough wall that snags debris and clogs.

  • Orangeburg (“tar paper” pipe)

common in mid-century homes, and it sags and collapses with age.

  • Terra-cotta / clay

Roots push right into the joints and choke the line.

  • Galvanized steel

Old drain lines that scale shut over the years.

  • Lead bends

under a lot of older toilets down here.

  • ABS & PVC plastic

common in newer shore builds, additions, and renos; our sandy
soil settles and shifts, which stresses the joints and connections — especially where a line
ties into the city sewer — until they crack or pull apart.

Whatever’s under your floor, we’ve seen it and we know how to clear it. We video and locate it
first and tell you straight.

Sometimes a Clog Is a Broken Pipe

Now and then the camera shows the real trouble isn’t a clog at all — it’s a cracked, root-split, or
collapsed line. When that’s the case, we can often fix it from the inside with no-dig trenchless
lining, no trench through your yard. That’s a job of its own, and we’ve got a whole page on it.

We Work With Every Town’s Water & Sewer Department

Thirty-plus years down here means we know the people, not just the pipes. We’ve got good
working relationships with the water and sewer departments and public works crews all over
South Jersey — Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, and every town around. When a backup runs
from your line out to the city’s, we know who to call and how to get it handled — we talk their
language. No guesswork, no finger-pointing, no runaround. We work together to get your drains
flowing again.

“Flushable” Wipes Aren’t. Here’s the Truth.

If your toilet keeps clogging, this is usually why. Those “flushable” wipes don’t actually break
down — they snag on any rough spot in your line and build into a mass that backs up the whole
house. Same with paper towels, so-called flushable liners, and “septic-safe” wipes. Toilet paper
only is the safe bet — it’s the one thing made to break down in your pipes. If wipes have already
caused a backup, we’ll clear the line and show you where it’s happening so it quits costing you.

Dropped Something Down There? We’ve Seen It All.

Kid flushed a toy? Ring go down the drain? Something disappear down the disposal that
shouldn’t have? It happens in every house — and we’ve pulled just about all of it back out. No
judgment, no lecture. Call us and we’ll get it out.

Light Commercial — Restaurants & Small Business

We’re not just houses. We handle drain and fixture work for local restaurants, commercial kitchens, and bathrooms — grease-line jetting, floor drains, mop sinks, urinals, and the lines that back them up. We know a clogged kitchen or restroom costs you customers, so we clear it, tell you straight what caused it, and can set you up on a maintenance schedule so it doesn’t happen mid-shift. Same straight pricing, same one team, same owner accountable for the job.

The Barron Promise

  • The price we quote is the price you pay. Written up front. No hidden fees.
