We've been plumbing homes in Brigantine, Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, and Longport for 30+ years. Sand-clogged drains are one of the more common service calls we get at shore houses. Here's how it happens — the family comes home from the beach after a day in the sun, the kids hop in the shower or rinse off in the tub (sometimes the dog too), and the sand washes right off their feet and skin. It settles in your P-traps, builds up in the drain lines, and over time it's a slow drain or a full backup.

An outside shower fixes that before it starts. It's not a luxury at the shore. It's the smartest plumbing decision you'll make.
